I send a picture to the guy who gave it to me and see if it jogs his memories. This is the only noid in my collection, but I think I'll keep it no matter what.

Thanks for the tip. I will try to repot it once the flower falls off. There is a big selection of glass jars in the craft store here. I think the black spots on the leaves were mostly heat damage....
