Well I found a small tag burried in the roots that says Ascocenda Lani Bird. I'm not sure that is accurate. I think its a vasco.

Sounds to me that you may be over watering your plant. The wierd thing is my vanda's will drop leaves if they are under watered, but wrinkled leaves are a tell tale of over watering... Just my .02...

I bought this little guy with no tag. It's a small compact plant that looks like a ascacenda. I'm sorry the pic doesn't show the plant, but it is a strap-leaf.

I let the roots grow out and never trim them. They do overlap into some other rows of plants but it doesn't bother me and sounds worse than as described... IMO
