Scale Dead?
Default Scale Dead?

Hey-
I had been lacking on my orchids for the past few years (I know, I know ) and I noticed yesterday some have a fare amount of scale. I bought Triazicide by Spectracide and treated them yesterday.
How can I tell if they are dead?

Thanks for your Help!

Brian

They'll turn lighter color, shells will turn up or dessicate and they'll look all, well, dead. It's hard to kill them while under the shell. Perhaps a systemic might do it. Is this product a systemic?

Hey RsFrid-

No it is not systemic. It has seemed to kil most of it. I have been going over the scale removing it with alcohol leaf by leaf- fun stuff. LOL

I had ran out of orthene and couldn't find any to buy the other day. I hope to buy more soon. It is systemic and does kill scale.
