My local big box store (Lowes) is carrying "equitant" orchids- smaller than dwarfs; really tiny.

Of course two oncidums went home with me; only 4" tall and both flowering, one with two...

Spent Christmas in Atlanta with relatives; went to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens the next day.

When I called to see if it was worthwhile- long MARTA and bus trip- the volunteer on the phone...

Vanda half-off due to Christmas merch

Like some of you, I've gotten in the habit of checking every Lowe's in town... because they put the flowered-but-never-sold orchids on a half-off rack.

So far, I've gotten two $5.50 Phals to bloom...
