I've read up on the bacterial and fungal damage and it appears that the lesions should be growing if it was bacterial or fungal and they've been on the plants a long time and are not growing at all...

It's not the same plant. These are the roots of a catt. The bite marks in the other post are only on a handful of phals. I've moved the plant to its own area just to be sure for now.

It's some sort of hormone paste you can put on unbloomed nodes (mostly on phals) to try and coax them to branch or put out a keiki. I've only used it on this plant so it's pretty new for me too....

As Joe said. I don't use it anymore for roots as it has been reported to stun the growth of that root. I only use it to scab wounds on leaves. I just sprinkle it on.
