i grow almost like a Phalaenopsis a little more light and thatės why I think it produce always 1 flower. it 's with me 4 years and...

@ LVA do you use just 75 or 100 W for Catts? I grow also 2 Laelia purpuratas so they need more lights than th other catts..

I think it's my fav cattleya and it's also my first...I really like yours too: it's so dark..I don't have so many cattleyas and maxima is the only one who blooms...

ok thanks..mine now is on cork...i got a lot of quercus suber not so far so now I trying if my maxima appreciate to stay on cork jointed as bark substrate with a little bark (10%)..it seems it does...
