Default Cattleya maxima var. rubra
This is a back piece of a dark colored C. maxima flowering now - only two flowers because the plant is still very small. The main plant is in bud and must open the flowers in a few days! Nicely fragrant flowers!

Debs, I tried to reproduce the deep color and I believe the photo is very faithful to the flower !

Great plant!
I think it's my fav cattleya and it's also my first...I really like yours too: it's so dark..I don't have so many cattleyas and maxima is the only one who blooms constantly..can I ask you which catt you grow near your maximas? maybe i have not so right species
