Common guys, share your early spring flowers. Daffodils, Crocus, Forsythias, Galanthus(Snow drops)?
I know you got them. So I will post some that people would usually just walk past. Pieris japonica in the Ericacaea Red maple Lonicera fragrantissima. same L. fragrantissima with House Finch And I know this is not a flower because it is not a flowering plant, but it is a sign of spring. Male cones of the yew (Taxus sp) ready to throw out their pollen. |

Nice photo's! Loving the Bird!
Here's a small contribution from me. My first Daffodil open bloom this year and the inherited Cherry blossom tree. |
Nice!!! Our Daffodils are out but our Cherry Trees are still trying to get there. And to make it worse, today and tomorrow wet snow and near freezing temps.

no pics for me, but we've got lovely spring crocuses :D

Hello :) Here are a few from my garden. I only had time for a quick photo shoot just now so there's probably lots more I missed.
To start I thought I'd show you some ladybirds (ladybugs for those in the US ;)) on my sage plant - it's absolutely covered today! Also, there're some pale cream/orange daffs, some hyacinths, a picture of one of the Hepatica transsilvanica De Buis plants which is due to go under the damson tree (when I get a moment to clear the spot and plant them) and a picture each of Corydalis solida Purple Beauty and G P Baker (which are also due for under the damson :) |
Hepatica,
Very nice. yOu must live in a warm location. |

Early Spring Flowers thread for 2011
Here, the wisterias are almost over the hump. Daffodils are going the way, too. The magnolias are done for but the azaleas are coming on strong. Bridal wreath spireas are blooming nicely. Crape myrtles are just starting to leaf out and my Brunfelsia (sp?) (Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow) will bloom soon. Hippeastrums are sending up buds. My only Scilla Peruviana is in full bloom. Ya know, I should get out there and take some pictures.

Hopefully weather will pick up for you soon and you can enjoy your tree too :crossfing Jennyfleur Loving the photo's! Those ladybirds are brilliant. You'll have to do another picture when the Hepatica is in situ :D |
