I don't routinely give my orchids supplements, beyond fertiliser - wintergirl: how often would you give magnesium/calcium? When signs of deficiency appear?

I just received this plant from a well respected eBay seller. The undersides of the leaves have many black spots, the smaller of which appear slightly indented. They look bacterial to me...

I've always wanted to grow a miniature at work but have been put off by the low humidity created by air conditioning.

By the way, that is just about the healthiest Haraella I've seen. Very nice!

I'd elect one of my favourite genera - Porroglossum. They look like tiny psychedelic space invaders and they all have a secret trick up their sleeves (I'll let you discover that for yourself :D)

I don't know if you can get this stuff where you are but I really like SB Plant Invigorator (S B Plant Invigorator (http://sbproducts.co.uk)). It is effective and non toxic so better for your plants...
