Tks Euplusia, nice site! But looking both Anguloa pics in the site, I guess the lip of mine looks like uniflora, 'cause the lip of eburnea is more reddish!

Hi Steve!
I have no problem with Stan connata; it is hanged "halfway up", ie it is not so high as to get more sunlight (under an "Aluminet 50%” - reflective shade cloth), not too close to the ground...

Hi Nokomis!
My plants are just 800m above sea level, but I think the real problem is the temperature range, ie, the temperature difference between day and night, not the altitude. Fortunately I have...

Hi Adrianna!
I guess it's OK growing outside in the hot season, but in the winter you'll probably need an "Orangerie" to protect the Anguloa from freezing!

Great flowers! Show us the spike and the whole plant (I'm curious about the size of the plant, my Stan embreei blossomed only when it became a really large orchid, may be this is the "secret"!)

I bought this one as an unidentified Stan from Bahia, and now in bloom: Stan insignis. This is probably the last Stan this season, another Stan blooming only in the Spring!

The hope of some improvement in the coming blooms really exists, but the potential of the plant (speaking in terms of future awards in Orchid Shows) is limited. Either way is a beautiful and vigorous...

My "other" Portia (#2) has opened its first flowers, I'll take advantage of the latest Portia #1 flowers (that I previously had shown in the OB) to compare each other. The plant habit is the same,...

This Pleuro was a gift from a friend late (he was my supplier of wire baskets for Stanhopeas). I don't grow Pleuros but I decided to keep it in my collection as a tribute.

This one is a "survivor"; with me for more than 20 years! It smels like C labiata, blooms at same time of labiatas, but it's probably a hybrid.
