i didn't realize their was such a thing as mini phals when i bought my first 2 orchids which stand about 6-8inches tall counting the flower spike. I just assumed they was baby phals and bought them...

have u tried to give it a cooldown period? i was looking at how to care for dendrobium, and on ehow it says it needs 20 degrees difference between day and night temps. But i dunno if this is correct...

Thanks :) yesterday on another forum i was told its to the top of the leaves and not the flower spike. And to arrange the flower spike around the lights. so here is a pic of how i set mine up

Okay i just bought a rack and mounted 2 t8 lamps on it(4bulbs). I found an article that says the t8 32 watt bulbs give 500 foot candles at 12 inches per 2 bulbs. My 3 orchids all have flower spikes...
