i didn't realize their was such a thing as mini phals when i bought my first 2 orchids which stand about 6-8inches tall counting the flower spike. I just assumed they was baby phals and bought them...

root color
do oncidium's roots turn silver white when needed to be watered and green after watered like phals do? Just wondering cuz my oncidium is in a black plastic pot for now but some of the aerial roots...

Okay i just bought a rack and mounted 2 t8 lamps on it(4bulbs). I found an article that says the t8 32 watt bulbs give 500 foot candles at 12 inches per 2 bulbs. My 3 orchids all have flower spikes...
