do oncidium's roots turn silver white when needed to be watered and green after watered like phals do? Just wondering cuz my oncidium is in a black plastic pot for now but some of the aerial roots look like they gained a green tint after watering today so i was wondering if their the same as my phals.
I haven't noticed that - tho the green grow tips seem a bit brighter after watering. Roots on my Onc types seem to stay a whitish color regardless. Tho maybe I just need to pay better attention ? If they do 'green' up a bit - it's not as noticeable as phal roots
Mine tend to green up ever so slightly, but it's nowhere near as noticable as on the Phals, and seems to fade quickly. I wouldn't think that it would be a reliable indicator for watering though.

Same as Camille, some of them green up slightly but they are still mostly white. I don't use it as a watering indicator as I do on Phals/Vandaceous orchids. I tend to just use it as an indicator that it has soaked enough on a particular watering, but not of when to water next.
