Imidacloprid is pretty safe to use on your plant and if your spray outside put the plant in an empty garbage can that will contain the chemical.

Why repot? If you did it last year the mix should...
Why repot? If you did it last year the mix should be ok. It's hard to tell from pics but the mix still looks good to me. Also those nobile dends do well when they're root bound.
