This Vanda brunnea is about 2 meters long and the owner said he had been waiting a long time for these two spikes.
I think it was the first time it flowered, so some vandas can be a bit "moody" :)...

No, there is two other small buds on the same spike.
I had hoped it would have more "traces" of gigantea, and a more similar flowering. This is the first spike on this one and it might get better...

I did stick my nose as close to the flowers as i could, and because they where so many i really got my share of the fumes:)
It is not advaisable to do that near this one.

I have searched around and it is used in ecological farming here, but sadly one has to have a licence so it seems it is not available to buy for private persons.
