I have mine in a south window and also have a "grow light" for warmth and light...I will have to remember to water it every 3rd day in the winter and once every 2 weeks in the summer when it is...

Need culture info

I got a Rhinchostylis gigantea for Christmas this year and fear that the conditions in the house are way too cool for it.

I'm afraid that the best I can get is 50%...

I'm afraid that the best I can get is 50% humidity at night and about 40% during the day...makes me wonder if it will survive in these conditions.

It looks like there might be some slight improvement...if nothing else, it's stopped deteriorating...I will see in a couple kore weeks.

It's being grown in fresh bark. I am afraid of overwatering...

I changed out the media...save for the top, it looked like dark soil but the roots looked healthy. I already watered it this morning so I guess I won't water it again until next Monday....ankd then...

The humidity (they are on trays and the Humidity guage is usually hovering between 35-50%)

I bought a beautiful, healthy Onc. Shari Baby last year and this year there is something definitely wrong.
There is crinkling at the tip of 2 mature leaves and I have had to trim back or remove 3...
