I just received these guys in the mail today.
LC. Cariad's Mini-Quinee 'Angel Kiss'
Sophronitis Cernua
Brassavola Nodosa

Tiny little guys. I know the Mini-Quinee and the Sophronitis are probably Catt. culture ( although the Sophronitis is so tiny, and mounted is out of my comfort zone. Not sure how to handle that). The Brassovola was a free "thank you" and I have no clue what to do with that. It came bare root in that little plastic basket, so I just added some SM to help it stay moist. Any advice on any is very welcome and the Brassovola especially. I don't even know what alliance it is attached to :blushing: , so I am open to comments. Thanks

I've read in a portuguese site: High HR and temps between 50 and 91 F (10~33ºC). Good drainage and light highr than most orchids (probably it means Catt light).

I could tell you how I grow my B. nodosas, but I'm pretty sure that plant is not a B. nodosa. :)

I agree. It is not B. nodosa. The leaves of a brassavola nodosa are thick and rounded.

Soph cernua actually does great on a mount but if you are more comfortable potting it, it should do well that way, too, as long as you use a set up that dries evenly and gives good air to the roots.

There also seems to be some disagreement on what B. Nodosa leaves are supposed to look like.....terete or thick and rounded ?????

I think 'rounded' isn't the best word to describe them. Sorry. Here is a picture of my nodosa. Hopefully, you can see the leaves. They are thick and narrow with what seems to be a crease in the middle. I hope this helps! :)

I agree. Definitely not a nodosa. Their leaves are cylindric with a groove. Many people would call them terete.

Could it be some kind of a Den? My cernua is potted in a some what large bark for it's size in a 2" pot and I have to water it every day. It is growing quiet well and looks to be going to bloom. Hooray, this will be a first for me. Fingers crossed.

A better picture of the whole plant of the "not nodosa" showing pseudobulbs, roots if possible, would make it easier to suggest a possible ID.

Does nodosa look different as a seedling? Because it is very small, maybe these are baby leaves?
