Folks . . . I am sorry but now that I think about it I think it was THIS orchid he said was so rare!
However, I would like both names if I could get them. Us photographers always like titles on our photos . . .!!! Thanks again Mike |

Thanks for sharing. Mario ---------- Post added at 01:56 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:51 PM ---------- OK!!! Now the second pic... No idea. So nice!!! Mario |
First one - not an orchid.
Second one, an orchid, but no idea. |
Hi, it's a stapeliad! Frerea indica | Plants & Fungi At Kew
|
Both flowers are very nifty!
The first appears to be some member of the Family Apocynaceae subfamily Asclepiadaceae (to which belongs such common plants as milkweeds). The second is most definitely an orchid. The fuzzies make me think some sort of Bulbophyllum. The flowers shape and presentation, though reminds me of some of the Australian Dendrobiums. I'll be very interested to hear what that plant is. Would love to have one myself. |
the second one is a bulbophyllum for sure !
bulbophyllums are not native to mexico |
Looks cool
|
The second one looks to be Bulbophyllum lindleyanum. :)

Agree with Gravelsack: Bulbophyllum lindleyanum
