Hi folks . . . I was at a friend's house last weekend and he has orchids. He told me he thought this was a rare orchid but didn't know what the name was. ANY HELP?? I THINK HE SAID MEXICO . . . I could be wrong on that!!
The first appears to be some member of the Family Apocynaceae subfamily Asclepiadaceae (to which belongs such common plants as milkweeds).
The second is most definitely an orchid. The fuzzies make me think some sort of Bulbophyllum. The flowers shape and presentation, though reminds me of some of the Australian Dendrobiums. I'll be very interested to hear what that plant is. Would love to have one myself.
