My Corona is blooming right now too! I believe yours is darker...more solid? Maybe? And it shows more of the cornu parent...mine a bit more ambo.

Yes it does appear more solid in real life. This was made with a chattaladae version.

I'm not Katrina but here is my Corona. I love the random spots - each bloom is different.

What's funny is your Corona is actually darker than my chattaladae. I've had two chatta and was promised it would be so dark you couldn't see the bars - it isn't :((

I've given up on finding a really REALLY dark one.

Really?? I guess the only way to get a really dark one is to handpick from an in-bloom population.

I got lucky with this, was bought as an unbloomed seedling. And is much darker than it shows it the pic.
