Anacamptis papilionacea expansa
Here's another orchid I purchased with a group order through this site (thank you Philip for coordinating!). It's just starting to flower and there seems to be many more buds to come. I was hoping that it would grow a taller stalk so that the flowers were more widely spaced. For a first flowering I'm not too upset. The plant is only 4 inches tall and 3 inches across.

That's really lovely!

Beautiful!

Flowers remind me of an iris. :)
Is it a terrestrial? |

Gorgeous flowers. Its as if the tips were touched with water color.

Beautiful flowers. I'm still waiting for my papilionacea seedlings to bloom. Are you using an alkaline mix for these or a typical acidic-neutral terrestrial mix?

I'm using 100% seramis, but I did add a pinck of pellitized garden lime to the pot (4 inch clay). Not too sure it's necessary, but the vendor seemed to stress the point. |
