Anacamptis papilionacea expansa
Here's another orchid I purchased with a group order through this site (thank you Philip for coordinating!). It's just starting to flower and there seems to be many more buds to come. I was hoping that it would grow a taller stalk so that the flowers were more widely spaced. For a first flowering I'm not too upset. The plant is only 4 inches tall and 3 inches across.

Flowers remind me of an iris.
Is it a terrestrial?

Beautiful flowers. I'm still waiting for my papilionacea seedlings to bloom. Are you using an alkaline mix for these or a typical acidic-neutral terrestrial mix?

Thank you.
I'm using 100% seramis, but I did add a pinck of pellitized garden lime to the pot (4 inch clay). Not too sure it's necessary, but the vendor seemed to stress the point.
