Clamshell - Encyclia Cochleata
 

just take a few pics of my Clamshell, it is constantly blooming for a months already, one or two opened at the time on each spike:-):biggrin:

I believe the term used for describing this type of blooms is "cockle-shell"

Ohh I see, thanks Sonya, I thought that clamshell is another name for this Cochleata, didn't know there is more types/shapes:-)

Oh! I do see this one is also called "clamshell" - my apologies! I had only ever heard "cockleshell" :blushing:
