Thanks Bud, you are right, they had many different color variations, but I am very happy with my choice. I go to sleep normally around 3am, so pretty much "early morning" is not on my itinerary , normally get to my balcony after 9am, I guess that's why I haven't smell it yet. But will try now, when I know there is a fragrance for this one.

Thanks for sharing. These are great little plants. I've never tried my hands at growing one, but I hear they're great for beginners. Not only are they supposed to be easy going in terms of care, they're also usually free flowering and fragrant.

They are great, I wanted one for quite some time. They are not so LITTLE though, more like smaller oncidiums, but not mini, and yes, they can bloom for months, I heard even 6 months straight! They should be easier to grow than other orchids, BUT i truly do not go by that "easy growing" and "for beginners", what works for one in his growing zone might not work for someone else in different zone, so it is better to research first:-) Trust me, I learned this hard way in the years!

Mighty fine blooms!

This is always a favrorite of mine.

Mine is blooming just now as well. I love it, it's been going a while with between 2 and 3 flowers on each of the two spikes at a time, but looks like it might be coming to and end now, one spike has definitely stopped making new buds, and the other has slowed down.

Mine blooms for 6-9 months with 5-7 branched spikes. It is a very mature plant in a 10 inch pot. It's one of my favorites. Though, I don't think mine is fragrant; I'll have to check.

I liked it so much, I got an alba version last fall in a 3" pot. Haven't bloomed it yet, but it has 4 new growths. :)

It's a cute little bugger. I like easy grower terms.

My Clamshell is still going strong, one spike is without any buds now, but still looking alive, another spike just opened 2 blooms and another 2 forming. It is in bloom since May :bananaslide:

Another plus.
