Cattleya in bud
3 Attachment(s)
Hi This is my cattleya in bud no idea what colour or name how do you think it is looking. Lots of roots out of the bottom of the pot does this matter.

Congratulations on the new buds. It's always fun to see new flowers open, especially if you haven't seen the blooms before. The roots out of the pot don't matter. Cattleyas like to grow that way.

Looks great. Roots are good, no matter where they want to grow.

The caveat. Roots growing out the bottom of the pot mean one of two things (or both). The plant is pot bound and needs a repotting after the flowers fall. Or.....something down in the pot are making the roots grow out of the media. I think the former but maybe it's time to repot. Once the roots become all tangled it really sets the plant back when it is repotted. When you do repot I would cut the pot away from all those roots instead of trying to pull the plant out of the pot. I would bet that the roots are all growing around the inner pot wall with not a lot growing into the media. Insufficient air flow through the media is a prime reason for roots to grow around the inner wall of the pot and not into the media. Oh....and nice buds there. Absolutely a well grown orchid. Please post a pic when they open. I've love to see those beautiful pink flowers.

Looks like a very healthy plant with a nice double spike to me.
