Stanhopea reichenbachiana
Fascinating stanhopea species that produces wintergreen-fragrant blooms on a relatively compact plant. This one doesn't have horns, so perhaps it might be considered one of the more "primitive" species in the genus.

This is my favorite Stanhopea! Its the only Stan I took with me from Hawaii to Texas, though it has yet to bloom for me here.
I love how young these one are when they start blooming and yours has a really nice, porcelain white. Good work! |
Gorgeous!
I love the color and form....with alabaster texture and sheen |
Nice photo. Did you get this plant from TOF? They have a habit of incorrectly identifyng stanhopeas.
This Stan. is candida not reichenbachiana. It's still a great looking flower though. |

Wow I think I am on love...that is beautiful!!! I had a Stan for years and have been meaning to pick up another definitely going to have to put this on the list.

Oh wow, this isn't reichenbachiana? Thanks for the correction. It came from Marlow's Orchids (NY), not TOF (HI).
