C. valentine v caerulea X B. nodosa

This delicate orchid is in it's third bloom, the last being in early July. My disappointment with this orchid is the lack of any scent. I had hoped it might have a night time scent, ala the B. nodosa.

That's a beauty! I love the spots!

That's very nice! I see that the spots are red/purple, but I can't define whether the flower inherited the caerulea color (and that would be amazing!!), or not. It seems to be lavender to me. Is it?

Wow that is beautiful. Where can we obtain one? :)

Orchonubee, What a pretty thing. I love the speckles on the lip. Congrats!

Wow, I never heard of a direct cross to nodosa not having a scent. The flower itself is lovely.

Last night I went out at 10pm and again at 11pm to see if there was any fragrance, and there was the very faintest hint of a scent. I will give her a few more days and try again later in the night. |
