Default C. valentine v caerulea X B. nodosa

This delicate orchid is in it's third bloom, the last being in early July. My disappointment with this orchid is the lack of any scent. I had hoped it might have a night time scent, ala the B. nodosa.

That's very nice! I see that the spots are red/purple, but I can't define whether the flower inherited the caerulea color (and that would be amazing!!), or not. It seems to be lavender to me. Is it?

Wow, I never heard of a direct cross to nodosa not having a scent. The flower itself is lovely.

I wish the caerulea had come through, but there is just a hint of blue to lavender tint, with some of the flowers being a tiny bit more colored than others

Last night I went out at 10pm and again at 11pm to see if there was any fragrance, and there was the very faintest hint of a scent. I will give her a few more days and try again later in the night.
