My Lepanthes telipogoniflora finally established itself enough to bloom! :)
For some reason, I think I smell a fragrance on this little guy... Not sure though... |
Lovely! Congrats.

Love this one, congratulations!
|
Thanks Duane and Rosie! :)
I really think this species is fragrant. I smelled mine again today, and it smells faintly sweet. It's not the same smell as the moss on the mount. |
I love this one! good growing!
|
Thanks "White Rabbit"! :)
I tried pollinating this guy, and it was a major pain in the butt! I couldn't get the pollinia off the column, and I couldn't see where the stigmatic opening was. It's obscured by that funky looking lip that covers it up like a lid. The pollinia were surprisingly large for a miniature! Needless to say, I don't think I'll be having seeds of these anytime soon. :( |
Superb, Phiilip. One of my favorite orchids.
|
Fragrance? Thats exciting.

Can someone who has had these for longer than I have and have consistently bloomed them out please verify this? |
I love the scarlet color of the flower, and the fact that it does look like a Telipogon (sans the bristly lip).
What conditions do you have this plant in? I've heard that Lepanthes species grow well with Zygopetaliinae, and I just wanted to verify this claim. I think I may try some in the future. :) |
