Bloom spikes turning yellow.. is this normal?
Hi everyone! I repoted one of my phals that while it was in bloom because the sphag moss didnt look good. It dropped all of its flowers and now the bloom spike is turning yellow. Is this normal? and when and where should I cut it? And should I cut the other bloom spike that hasnt started turning yellow??? Thanks everyone!

It sometimes happens when repotting that a spike will blast from the stress, so the yellowing spike could be considered normal. If the blooms had already been open a long time, the repotting stress might have jump started the wilting process. You can cut that yellow spike all the way down now if you want, or wait for it to dry up. Did the other spike drop all the buds too? If it's still green you could always leave it, maybe it'll put out more buds or a side spike.

The other spike hasnt had any blooms since I bought the plant about 6 weeks ago but it has not started to turn yellow yet. It is bright green :)
