Unpacking boo-boo
 

Oh! Am I mad at ME! I got a shipment from Parkside Orchids today. Very plainly marked all over the box and the individual wrappings was the warning to be careful unwrapping the plants. I thought I was being careful until I got to unwrapping my Lctna. Mighty Titan 'Parkside'
The plants were very well packaged with plenty of shredded paper and rolled into corrugated paper. Well, long story short, I broke off the tip of the bloom spike. AGGGGH. And it was the only plant (of three) that was in spike, too. :bua::bua::bua:
I've two more chances at this unpacking with care thing. The next boxes that arrive will be unpacked much more carefully.

Bummer!! I hope the next boxes contain something in spike/sheath for you.

i feel sorry for you... i know how that feel... i have (a couple of times) broke off / cut new pbulbs! during repotting followed by ARGHHHH!!! should have been more careful but yet still happen!

It's happened to the best of us. I hope it spikes again soon.

It's true, probably most of us on here have broken spikes and I know the time I did it (a few months ago, all I wanted to do was cry!!). Fingers crossed for unwrapping the others :)
