Hi, my name is talyce, I'm an orchid addict
Just registered...Thought I would say hello to all. I scammed my way into growing orchids when I got married. My husband and I got married in Key West at the Robert Frost Cottage, where there is an orchid garden out back. I was always fascinated with orchids, but never grew them. Now my husband is even into them. I consider myself lucky to have him involved.

Hi and :welcome: to Orchidboard!
What types of 'chids do you have? How many? Do you grow them outdoors here in Florida? Questions...questions...questions... :) We've got a wonderful community full of people willing to share their knowledge of orchids. Feel free to ask any questions you might have :) We've also got a great photo gallery so :photo: :photo: :photo: and a bunch of members usually meet in the chat room each night starting around 8pm est...hope to see you there :) |

Bonjour and welcome to the forum.
It's wonderful to see your other half involved :D My DH doesn't grow them but he does enjoy seeing them around the house, He has even brought some home. It's all about orchids and power tools around here  Hope you enjoy OB :D |
Hi Talyce and welcome to the board :)

Thanks to all! I started my collection 2 years ago. I've got your usual phals, a couple paphs, my husband's favorite vandas, cymbidiums, nuns, dancing ladies of all sorts, a brassivola, dendrobiums, and others I have no idea what they are. All are kept outside in the Florida weather, although the few cold fronts we get are almost as bad as prepping for a hurricane. I am no expert but I do ok...That is the reason I thought I'd join!
