Hi, my name is talyce, I'm an orchid addict
Just registered...Thought I would say hello to all. I scammed my way into growing orchids when I got married. My husband and I got married in Key West at the Robert Frost Cottage, where there is an orchid garden out back. I was always fascinated with orchids, but never grew them. Now my husband is even into them. I consider myself lucky to have him involved.

Bonjour and welcome to the forum.
It's wonderful to see your other half involved
My DH doesn't grow them but he does enjoy seeing them around the house, He has even brought some home.
It's all about orchids and power tools around here
Hope you enjoy OB

Thanks to all! I started my collection 2 years ago. I've got your usual phals, a couple paphs, my husband's favorite vandas, cymbidiums, nuns, dancing ladies of all sorts, a brassivola, dendrobiums, and others I have no idea what they are. All are kept outside in the Florida weather, although the few cold fronts we get are almost as bad as prepping for a hurricane. I am no expert but I do ok...That is the reason I thought I'd join!

Its twice as much fun when your husband or wife loves orchids the way you do. Congrats on that!! And welcome to the Orchid Board. Glad you could join us!

Aboard Talyce, its great to see another "Floridian" joinin' the OB . Our community has many growers in many conditions globally, from novice to veterans Our community s you where the fun begins
Sounds like you were taken by orchids at the "I do"...way to go Know of the cottage, never had the opportunity to stop by there, but what a wonderful place to have a wedding ceremony.

While I am glad to see another Floridian join I really wish more Michiganders would sign up as well
Really great your hubby follows you in your hobby (or leads?) Looking forward to lots of pics.
