Slovak Wild Orchids Second Trip
Here are some more pictures, I made a second trip to my grandmothers place (40km from my town)

I wish I had my book on the native orchids of europe with me to help with ID, but I left it behind in France. There are so many similar looking Dactylorhiza, and then there are also the natural hybrids. Great photos and it seems that you saw quite a few of them!
I love the landscape photos in your album (that are right after the Dactylorhiza pics), the scenery makes me think of home in France. Are those pics taken in the same area as where you saw the orchids? |

Great pics!
I saw Dactylorhizas here in the UK and as there were several species in the area I'm pretty sure they were natural hybrids that I saw (they didn't quite fit the features of any of the species). It's so great when you spot them amoungst the grass. |
Loved the pics!
