Water Culture

When new water roots have formed should I cut the old roots off ?

trdyl 04-08-2010 08:36 PM

I would not cut the old roots off until they are dead.

Shawna 04-08-2010 09:26 PM

Ok. I just wasn't sure what to do.

Shawna 04-08-2010 09:37 PM

Just to clarify dead meaning nothing left but what looks like a thread?

If it is not firm to a gentle squeeze them the root is dead and should be removed. When they are at this stage they are usually brown.

Agreed, but not all brown roots are dead, so always give the gentle squeeze to find out.
