Yay! It finally re-bloomed, tolerating my "special high intensity treatment".(:whip:please.gif:boxing::sorry::bump:
:whistling:poke::cheer:) The tag says it is a cross of 'Tiger Crow' and 'Oda. Wearside Pattern'. The flowers are about 4-5 inches across and smell like air. |
Love your orchid but I really love your post graphics..... Are you unhappy?
Sheridan  |
Wonderful blooms! And a huge flower! Nice growing.
:) |
I have a system of both over attention and neglect, but somehow the thing bloomed. I chopped it half:whip:, overwatered it often:water, put it outside in temps from 30-100 :cold:fire:degrees with long periods of ~25% humidity:skeleton:, repotted several times into different media types:poke:, and finally it bloomed after 12-18 months.
I tried to say it with emoticons.:) The flowers would be even bigger, but they are curled backwards. I think they could be 6 inches or more in diameter if flattened out. But that would be wrong. |
Cool! I hope the flowers on my tiger corw are that big! lol! "Airy" smell! lol!
|
Congratulations! You got a very nicely shaped flower there and perfect subject for a story in emoticons.
|
Well done, especially here in Reno. And I think the air smells pretty good here, most of the time.

Really nice one .... rich bright colors, beautiful for sure!!
:D |
Now the flowers are starting to smell faintly, a little like an Easter Lily. :cloud9:
I think the recent partly sunny days have awakened  the flowers. :waving |
