I believe the common name for this is a prayer plant. There is a strange new growth coming out of where the leaves normally do(The bright green thing in the middle). Is it a bloom? :scratchhead:

I think its a new leaf ours have been growing new leaves and the come from near the centre of the plant in a curl and as they grow they unfurl.

But usually the new leaves that grow are purple like the rest of the leaves. This one is bright green which leads me to believe it might be a bloom. I'll have to wait and see, I guess :).

It could be a bloom, I can't really see it well enough to be sure though. I used to have one that bloomed from time to time so it might be. Keep us updated with the pics!

Congratulations. That is a bloom forming. Be on the look-out for more. Two popped up at the same time on my plant. It was a real surprise because they had been concealed by the foliage and were almost mature when I spotted them. I just happened to glance at my plant while it was in prayer and there they were.
