Calathea roseo blooming? Female
Default Calathea roseo blooming?

I believe the common name for this is a prayer plant. There is a strange new growth coming out of where the leaves normally do(The bright green thing in the middle). Is it a bloom?

But usually the new leaves that grow are purple like the rest of the leaves. This one is bright green which leads me to believe it might be a bloom. I'll have to wait and see, I guess .

It could be a bloom, I can't really see it well enough to be sure though. I used to have one that bloomed from time to time so it might be. Keep us updated with the pics!

It's sounds like a bloom. This is what mine did.

Congratulations. That is a bloom forming. Be on the look-out for more. Two popped up at the same time on my plant. It was a real surprise because they had been concealed by the foliage and were almost mature when I spotted them. I just happened to glance at my plant while it was in prayer and there they were.
