I am not even sure what name is popular at the moment for these two miniature plants, but I know "that a rose by any other would smell as sweet:"

Actually, these are now Rhynchostele and there has been general agreement among botanists for over a decade.

Totally in agreement, as well that everybody was also in agreement that Odontoglossum and Oncidium were compeltelly different (based on DNA if I remember correctly)

According to the new Genera Orchidacearum, and as far I have been informed (I must admit I have not read it first hand), Odontoglossum, Cochlioda, Miltonioides, Symphyglossum, Mexicoa among others, become Oncidium... and Scelochilus is moved into Comparettia.

And Oncidium ampliatum is now Rossioglossum ampliatum...

well... just enough stuff to laugh or to cry... :rofl::_(
