You'll be cruising this site in no time :Tup:

Most phals will produce kiekis from the spikes and some will from their bases known as basal kiekis .. Kiekis is another word for baby plants of the original ..
If you have anyother questions, Do not hesitate to ask :)

thx for the help...u are very kind
so..what can i do to make my phal produce keiki....

Royal 02-20-2009 09:15 AM

Hormones can induce keikis, but you may be thinking of stem propagation. You can do it in vitro preferred method), or by placing the prepared nodes on a bed of sphagnum although this "dirty" method yields lower results.

BTW - What is the Phal in your avatar
I  it
Is it fragrant? :hmm

Phalguy 02-20-2009 01:41 PM

hello!

You can use a dormant node from a spike, remove gently the outer skin and applied some hormone paste like keiki grow etc... You can find it on the net!
You can also place the dormant node, desinfect it vigourously and place it in vitro into an agar agar medium.
