I've been waiting and watching for this one to do something for quite some time now...suddenly three spikes pop up and the first bud has opened! This bloom is 7 1/2" from top to bottom :shock:

I just LOVE it! :cloud9:

Terri, I was so excited about seeing the bloom, I didn't even think about checking it for fragrance! I'll have to go out to check ;)

heres my brassia rex. Didn't have much of a scent but my brassia verracosa (the white flower) does.

Way cool, Sue. Mine is still a seedling and a long ways from blooming. Now I see what I have to look forwards to.

Congrats Sue! I've never had any luck getting a Brassia to do well let alone bloom. I shall have to enjoy yours vicariously :)
