:hello everyone !!!!

I'm so excited to finally have one of these orchids in my collection, yet I'm extremely terrified since I have no clues as to how to care for it. Anyways here are some :photo: :photo: of my new beauty.

Hi Rolando,

Congrats to you on your first slipper! It is very beautiful...I love the coloration on this one. :)

I grow my paphs under my Vandas where they are sure to get water every day and plenty of dappled sunlight. When they are blooming I pull them out so the blooms don't get wasted by teh overhead watering. I also make sure that they have ample air movement, which they do with the large fan running in my shade house.

For potting medium I use a seedling mix comprised of dyna-rock, charcoal and coconut husk in small pieces (I get this from Broward Orchid Supply). I top dress the medium with crushed oyster shell for added calcium, and also use dynamite fertilizer pellets as a supplement to the little bit of fertilizer they get whenever I fertilize my Vandas, which is once a week, year round.

I hope this helps. :)

Love the pink Paphs. Beautiful choice Rolando.

I have only 2 Paphs in my collection and one thing is definite, they hate Florida weather in summer. Even the ones that are more heat tolerant, doesn't mean, Fla. heat. I keep mine a little wetter than the Phals but give them Phal light and they benefit greatly by good air circulation.

Enjoy. Yours is a keeper!

Gina Short is one I have wanted for a long time. Every time I have ordered one, sorry we are out of Gina Short. I love the color and the shape.
