It's a phal hybrid and it's going to be extremely hard to find her name. Lets hope someone on the board has this one and can tell you the name. :goodluck:

It is Phalaenopsis - single quote - your mother's name - close quote.
Now wasn't that easy! Eric |
It looks great, it's a really nice pink. :) My favorite technique for IDing noids is to google the grower on the tag and sometimes they have a catalogue of their products. Otherwise, pinpointing an exact name is very difficult. Either call it what you want, or (this is what I do) is call it -Phal noid 'the name of the orchid it looks like'.- That way in you records you will know it's still a noid, but you have the satisfaction of giving it a name.

I can't help you with the ID Kona...but it sure is beautiful!
Good luck with IDing this one. :) |
Since the plant did not come with a tag I have been doing some reserach and found the name after 2 weeks of looking. It's name is Doritaenopsis Nobby's Pink Lady X Taisuco Firebird= Dtps. I-Hsin Madame. The picture is from the last bloom about 4 months ago the plant is just starting a spike again . This plant is my second oldest plant that I bought about 7 years ago.
