Hi,
Congrats on the bloom, and you did a great job with the photo! |
very nice. How large are those flowers, and how large is the plant?
i am waiting for mine to bloom but it looks sort of small so I am trying to find out if it is safe for it to bloom. |
thanks!! the flowers are about 3 inches wide, and the leaves are about 6 inches long....i guess its a medium size plant
|
yours sounds a lot bigger than mine.
my leaves are barely four inces. I wonder if its a premature spike. Thanks. |
Congratulations on the first of many, many more blooms to happen for you!
It's a beauty! |
That's pretty. I remember some of our neighbors grow their chids in their front yard mounted on huge driftwoods under a shade cloth or sometimes just under the trees.

Hey JimJim,
Congrats on your amabilis blooms! :bowing The photos are beautiful...I like the 3rd full one and the close-up best. |

Ed, Phal. amabilis do bloom when they are quite small, so I wouldn't worry about your plant if it spikes...it'll be just fine. Mine was the size you are describing here when it put up 2 spikes last year...without any problems at all. :) |
thanks for your reply guys!! will be posting more pics once i get my other orchids to flower!!
