Lc. Beaumesnil
This is a cross between Cattleya loddigesii and Lc Culminant. The hybrid was first registered in the 70's if I remember well. My plant comes from a remake made in Brazil using the exceptional C. loddigesii 'Vera Lúcia'. This year the flowers didn't open well.

Wow. If that's a flower that didn't open well I hope you'll share pictures with us when they DO open well! They are stunning.

Wow Mauro...they are beautiful...and I'll agree with you that the previous year’s bloom has better form. :D
By the way, is it fragrant? It sure looks like it should be! |
Well, I can't argue that last year's bloom has wonderful form, and the petals have a nice roundness to them. I do kind of like the frilliness of this year's, too, though. I'd personally be thrilled with either! :)
