Hey everyone!

For my birthday this past Monday I was gifted a cattleya guttata verde, straight from Brazil (don't tell anyone that it made it through customs inside my friend's luggage :coverlaugh: ). She picked it for the buds she could see inside the sheath and, miraculously, they survived the trip and are now opening up!

This is still a young plant, quite tiny, and apparently blooming for the first time (no signs of other sheaths). Hopefully in time it will hold more flowers per spike, but 2 for a first blooming is good enough, eheh.
This 'verde' type seems to be the equivalent of leopoldii's 'Cetro de Esmeralda', which would classify it as albescens; either way, whatever it is, it is gorgeous!
