Hey everyone!
For my birthday this past Monday I was gifted a cattleya guttata verde, straight from Brazil (don't tell anyone that it made it through customs inside my friend's luggage

). She picked it for the buds she could see inside the sheath and, miraculously, they survived the trip and are now opening up!
This is still a young plant, quite tiny, and apparently blooming for the first time (no signs of other sheaths). Hopefully in time it will hold more flowers per spike, but 2 for a first blooming is good enough, eheh.
This 'verde' type seems to be the equivalent of leopoldii's 'Cetro de Esmeralda', which would classify it as albescens; either way, whatever it is, it is gorgeous!
Enjoy!
