lost a good one last night
 

I had to put my big boy down last night. complete tear of his ACL and MCL and at 94lb and clumsy as hell, plus advanced kidney issues, he was not a candidate for either wheels or surgery.

i can say without any hesitation that Pete was the sweetest and kindest soul i have ever known and i only hope that i meet him again one day. the peace that his presence brought was like a deep breath - thanks buddy :bowing until i see you again

Had to do the same on Monday.

My heart goes out to you both. Had to let my Sophie go 2 yrs ago after 17 yrs. It still is painful.

I'm sorry DC. I hope you find comfort in your memories of all the good times you had together.

The truest comment I've ever seen about dogs was the quote " the creation of the dog was God's finest hour".

Sry bout your loss DC. My guy weighs 98lb.

That just sucks. They are family members.

So sorry to have had to go through that, but there just comes a time when there is too much suffering.

So sorry for the loss of your sweet friend DC. Looking at Pete's picture and thinking about the dogs I have and have lost, and I'm feeling it right along with you man. I have no doubt Pete knew he was lucky to have you as well
