SVO Cattleya - Second Release 2021
 

SVO's second release just dropped.

I got a laelia autumnalis :)

I saw that...and had to look through all of them even though I have told myself that I need to wait until the ones I bought last year bloom so I see what colors I still need to seek. :)

They must have gone fast. I put one in my cart, then some other things, and when I went to check out my cart was invalid. The autumnalis were no longer listed so I skipped the order.

I just ordered some orchids left over from the last SVO release. I went for Cattleyas that should all be nicely fragrant which means that this batch should be keepers for certain. :)

I got one of the autumnalis. That's become my morning routine when Fred announces the month of his new releases: Check the website and buy the species immediately. They usually sell out like hot cakes.

Currently doing this every morning with anticipation of the catasetum release.

Anyone have any idea what day that is going to drop? I know its supposed to be in June.

I had forgotten those were not yet released and was disappointed not to see any available. Maybe this won't be my final order from SVO.....

If I knew, I wouldn't be checking every day. There's an Angraecum didieri out now if you're interested.

His last email said 'Keep an eye out in late June for the new offerings.' Maybe next Monday...??

The 2020 summer list was released on 29 June, if that's any indication.

Quite a few vandaeceous dropped! I got this one and added a note to hold until I can combine with the catasetum order.

Vandoglossum NEW HYBRID (V. denisoniana x Holc. amesianum)
V. denisoniana blooms with full-shaped butter yellow flowers that are very fragrant in the evening hours. This wonderful species is paired here with the lovely Holcoglossum amesianum. H. amesianum blooms with pale pink flowers that have the most exquisite floral fragrance. We hope this combination will produce light yellow flowers with a powerful intoxicating fragrance!
