S. fragrans leaf spot
1 Attachment(s)
Hi all,
I received this new schoenorchis fragrans less than one week ago with a spot on the leaf that I didn't initially pay much attention to, but the more I look at it the more concerned I am. Do you all think that it is something to be concerned about (rot, fungus/bacteria, etc)? Do i need to quarantine the plant? |
Personally, I wouldn’t be too concerned. It looks like it’s probably be a secondary infection from some sort of damage (sun/heat burn, mechanical damage, ect..). If the spot is dry and not getting any larger you could just ignore it. If it the dark patch is spreading, or if you are very concerned, you can just cut the leaf off below the black part. Just water carefully and keep that area dry for a bit to let it ‘scab’ over so a that a new infection does not set in through the open wound
