another Dendrobium williamsonii
I've had a lot of blooming going on but also a lot of life going on so I'm just now getting around to posting the spring blooms.
William is from Andy's. He gets indirect sun all day and supplemental CFL for a few hours at each night. Daily watering with rain water, and occasional fertilizer application when I remember....I really don't know how much or how to add fertilizer to his diet. Seems like a great little orchid, it will eventually blossom 10+ flowers. Anyway here are the pics: Since I always complain about not seeing the whole plant I'll lead by example and show you this ugly picture: http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i9...PICT0032-1.jpg Now natural light of two blooms: http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i9...PICT0031-2.jpg And a close up of those hairs! http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i9...PICT0020-5.jpg |
That's a beauty! Thanks for sharing. :D

It IS a beauty, and I'm lucky to share in it with Mateo!
Ross - the photo was taken from the side view, and doesn't do the mount full justice...it's in the crook of a tree branch, which I prefer over cedar planks (found with most of our other Andy's mounts). Shakkai - the fragrance is subtle, and can only be described as "flowery" in my mind. Joy |
Looks great! Love the blooms and the mount is nice!!
I, personaly, am not loving the cedar shingle mounts. . . :nono: |
